Baslow Edge - Peak District Walk

Having done most of my Christmas shopping last week, whilst it was wet and miserable, I didn't want to pass up on a walk on a beautiful winter's day like today. As I had one last bit of Christmas shopping to do in Bakewell I combined it with a late afternoon walk along Baslow Edge. As I set out the sun was starting to set, which only added to the golden colours of the edges and the moors.

Distance: 3.25 miles Ascent: 117 metres Time Taken: 1 hour 20 mins
Terrain: Good paths that could be boggy in places.

Today instead of sticking to the main path by the wall I turned right towards this sign and then followed the path which runs right along the top of the edge.

There was plenty of ice for me to avoid, as the ground was still frozen.
